A man was rushed to a hospital after angry men cut off his
private parts because he looked at their girlfriends, police in Uganda
said. Mpambire Police said that the brutal attack occurred late on
Wednesday, when the group of men accused the victim of eyeing their girlfriends.
According to the police investigation, the victim, Francis Ssekiranda, was drinking at a bar with his friends, Tom Kimuli and Denis Kamoga.
The suspects approached Ssekiranda, and accused him of stealing a cellphone and looking at their girlfriends. They told the victim's two friends to leave the bar, and they dragged Ssekiranda outside, where they beat him.
One man pulled off Ssekiranda's pants and cut off his private parts. The men then took him to a tree, tied him with a rope to a branch and fled from the scene.
Area residents came to Ssekiranda's aid after hearing him scream.
The suspects were identified as David Luswabu, Matovu, and Kasawuli. Ssekiranda was rushed to the Mpigi Health Centre IV, where he is recovering.

Later that day, two of the suspects were arrested on charges of
attempted murder. They were released from jail after posting bail.
